Fly fishing not your thing? Alan has many years of experience with both art lure and bait, and can tailor the day to suit your preference.

With many years of experience fishing with both lure and bait, Alan will work out the day to suit your preferences.  Target the local indigenous smallmouth yellowfish, African sharp tooth catfish (Barbel), mudfish or carp in the Somerset East area for a day trip, or talk to us to arrange a fishing trip further afield to target the more elusive Largemouth yellowfish, found in the Orange and Vaal river systems.

This rate is based on a day trip and does not include accommodation, breakfast or dinner. Lunch, as well as travel to the fishing waters in the Somerset East area is included. All rod fees and gate fees are included.

Duration: Full day (+/- 8 Hours)

Start Location: Wild Fly Fishing in the Karoo Shop - Somerset East

Departure Times: Morning start - approximately 8 am

Dropoff Time: Late Afternoon / Early evening

Dress: Comfortable clothing, preferably long sleeve & long trousers. Warm / waterproof jacket is a must, even in summer.

Fitness Level: Fishing will be adjusted to your fitness level.

Pack: Polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, warm jacket, waterproof jacket, hat, camera.
